BOOK A BER ASSESSOR

We work with clients throughout Ireland to deliver building energy ratings. As part of the SEAI BER Assessors list, we work with residential and commercial property owners to help them optimise their energy efficiency and embrace a greener future.

When you book a BER cert, you’ll receive a rating for your home’s energy performance on a scale of A to G. A-rated homes are the most energy-efficient, while G-rated homes are the least energy EFFICIENT and typically have the highest energy bills.

Green Wise Energy is an SEAI-approved BER assessor based in Longford. Booking your BER assessment is the first step toward creating a more energy-efficient home and embracing a green energy future. A BER certificate is valid for 10 years from the date of issue and is compulsory for all homes on the property market, either for sale or rent.

What to Know About Your BER Assessment

At Green Wise Energy, we strive to be Ireland’s leading SEAI-approved BER assessor and that starts with streamlining our services. We recommend that you prepare all your documentation before our specialist arrives to conduct their survey. This information will help speed up the process of receiving your BER Certificate and the associated Advisory Report.

BER Assessments for New  Buildings

If you’re booking a BER assessment for a new building, we’ll need more documentation, including specifications for the roof, wall, and floors. We also recommend that you provide certificates for the construction products used and any appliances already installed.

BER Assessments for Existing Buildings

If you’re booking a BER assessment for an existing building, we’ll need documentation for any upgrades you have already carried out on your property. If you have documentation relating to the construction of the building this can also be helpful to provide. All documentation should list the address of your property, the products used, and the specific work carried out.

Our team will use default values if you are unable to provide sufficient documentation. These values are based on the age of your building and its construction type. As a result, you might receive a lower BER rating than you expect without sufficient documentation to support any upgrades.

You’ll receive your BER Certificate and Advisory Report after the survey of your home is complete. Our team will provide you with an estimate of when you should receive these.
